The nearest town with all facilities
e.g. pharmacy, restaurant, bank, mini market,
post office, bakery, general stores, tourist information
office etc is Bourg de Visa approx. 3 miles away.
On the way to Bourg de Visa you will pass the
equestrian centre which also has a restaurant.

Lacour is in between the Lot and Garonne rivers.
At Montaigu de Quercy, four miles away there is
a lake with beach and watersports. Montagu de
Quercy is also an ancient town has a Saturday
market and many shops and restaurants.

Roquecor another hilltop village
with a restaurant and bar has a Sunday morning
market and is three miles away.
Villeneuve sur Lot where boat
trips can be taken and watersports enjoyed is
about eighteen miles away. On the way there you
could stop at Penne D’Agenais, a hilltop
medieval town overlooking the River Lot. There
are numerous chateaux within a half hour drive
where the vineyards may be admired and the wine
sampled and purchased. Just ten minutes from Lacour
a foie gras museum may be visited where the delicacy
can also be tasted. There are lots of local markets
and Bourg de Visa has an antiques fair once a
year.
A thirty minute drive south of
Lacour de Visa takes you to Valence d'Agen where
every Tuesday morning there is a huge market.
This fortified town has graceful old buildings.
Continue in an easterly direction through the
Garonne valley to Moissac where you join the Canal
Lateral and River Tarn. At Moissac you will find
the Cloister of the Abbatiale Saint -Pierre the
oldest, largest and most beautiful of the Romanesque
clositers.

on the Lot is a must.Cahors is only forty minutes
away.

Fishing and golf may be enjoyed
in the area not far from Lacour de Visa. Bordeaux
and Toulouse each have international airports
and are approximately 1.5 hours away. Bergerac
and Rodez airports are an hour away. Agen is 25
minutes away where there is a TGV train station
and hire car companies.
